A return still postponed for Gusto?

Absent from the field since February 8 due to injury, the case of Malo Gusto is starting to question the fans of Olympique Lyonnais. According to the local press, the return of the right side of Les Gones could still be long overdue.

Malo Gusto, Lyon

Officially transferred to Chelsea during the winter transfer window, Malo Gusto has returned to the capital of Gaul in the form of a loan for the end of the current season. This is at least what was initially planned by the Rodhanian club. The last appearance of the 19-year-old player with the Lyon jersey dates back to the beginning of February, during a victory against Lille in the Coupe de France (2-2/4-2 at Tab).

During this meeting, the native of Décines had indeed been forced to leave his place after 30 minutes of play after feeling pain in the hamstrings. At the request of the Blues, Malo Gusto then took the direction of London so that this physical glitch was treated in the best conditions.

Gusto leaves London but still moves away from Lyon

At present, it is difficult to decide on the date of a hypothetical return to competition. Chelsea indeed gives very little news of its new recruit. And according to information from Progress, the supporters of Olympique Lyonnais will have to take their troubles patiently. In its edition of the day, that of March 19, 2023, the Rodhan daily ensures that Malo Gusto would now have flown to Dubai, capital of the United Arab Emirates, in order to continue his fitness.

This journey in exotic lands seems to mean that Laurent Blanc will have to compose without his side for some time yet. Current tenth in Ligue 1, the Reds and Blues would however need reinforcements in these difficult times.
