AS Monaco’s summer is going to be eventful. Paul Mitchell, the current sporting director of ASM, will leave his place to the Portuguese Thiago Scuro, who will take his post “June 30 or July 1”said the Englishman in an interview for RMC. But Paul Mitchell also indicated that he did not know the date of his departure: “I told the president that I would be there for as long as the club needed to provide stability”.

Paul Mitchell is therefore involved in the transfer window of Monaco, for the players as in the case of the coach. In this case, the ASM “has a list”which includes Marcelo Gallardo, followed by OM, and who made a “outstanding work” at River Plate.

Open door for Ben Yedder?

The future former sports director of the Monegasque club has, for The Team, mentioned the Wissam Ben Yedder case. The 32-year-old striker, not always a starter but regular in his performances (25 goals and 7 assists in 43 appearances), has only one year left on his contract at Monaco: “He has one year left on his contract so he’s still one of our players. I think for him the summer will be long, as it will be for everyone. As I told the group yesterday, I think everyone seriously needs to take stock of the impact they’ve had and Wissam (Ben Yedder) obviously includes himself in that, as captain. We will then make the right decisions for next season”.

Wissam Ben Yedder, transferred to Monaco in 2019, has a contract until June 2024 with the 6th in Ligue 1. A departure cannot therefore be ruled out, before the Rock club can lose its striker for free, in a year .
