Bordeaux charges Rodez in a scathing press release
While the Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League will communicate its decision on Monday, concerning the fate of the Ligue 2 match between Bordeaux and Rodez, interrupted 8 days ago following the irruption and the aggression from an ultra Bordeaux on the Ruthenian Lucas Buades, the Girondin club spoke this Saturday in a press release against Rodez. If he obviously recalls that he firmly condemns the gesture of his supporter, the Girondin club minimizes the seriousness of Lucas Buades’ injury: “the gesture of the individual who illegally introduced himself towards the RAF player seems to have been potentially carried, if necessary, only on the shoulder when, simultaneously, several teammates came to surround the player, resulting in in his fall one of them. It therefore appears that the concussion invoked by the player can only be the result of the individual’s gesture.the statement said, and to continue.
“On the seriousness of the injury, the information relayed by the press mentions a finding by the forensic doctor, an independent expert and mandated by the prosecutor, of “no lesion”, and the prescription of a single day of work stopping.” Finally, he insists on the lack of cooperation from Rodez, also indicating that he has filed a complaint with the LFP for violation of the rules relating to sports ethics and fair play.“FC Girondins de Bordeaux is also wondering about the reasons which led the RAF not to cooperate spontaneously with the investigators in the hours and days following the events (…) FC Girondins renews its desire to obtain a decision which does not provide for disciplinary sanctions against the club and which allow the replay of the stopped match so that the final classification of the L2 Championship is played on the sports field to guarantee perfect fairness. »
