Borussia Dortmund are set to receive €60m from Erling Haaland’s transfer to Manchester City. This is less than what was announced in recent months. The player should meanwhile receive a salary of 438,000 euros per week, the equivalent of what Kevin de Bruyne receives.
According to the elements collected by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City will obtain the reinforcement of Erling Haaland for an amount lower than that announced in recent months. BVB are expected to receive €60m in the deal, not €75m as reported. The player should sign a contract for him until June 2027. He would be accompanied by a salary of 438,000 euros per week, the same level as that of his probable future ball provider Kevin de Bruyne.
Once is not custom, the operation seems to include amounts lower than what was expected. the DailyMail mentioned for its part a transfer fee of 73.5 million euros and remuneration of 580,000 euros per week. The Italian journalist does not speak of the possible signing bonus that the tabloid announced at 45 million euros in the spring. Was this amount the right one? Erling Haaland seems in any case on track to imitate his father and put on the tunic of Manchester City, starting this summer. The Norwegian international would have already passed the medical examination.
Recruited in exchange for a check for 20 million euros at RB Salzburg, in January 2020, the native of Leeds therefore spent a little more than two seasons in the yellow and black jersey. In that time, he has netted 85 goals and 23 assists in 88 appearances in all competitions. Few have done so well.
