In a press conference after his team’s draw against Betis Sevilla on Friday (0-0), Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti spoke about preparations for the Champions League final against Liverpool next Saturday at the Stade de France (9 p.m.). The Italian coach notably announced that David Alaba and Gareth Bale would be available for the match against the Reds. The Austrian defender, who is back from injury, should play in the final.
“Alaba will be there to play the final, but there was no need to take any risks. He will play one hundred percent. He hasn’t played since April 26, it’s true, but in this game not only physicality is taken into account but also skills and experience.”explained the Italian technician.
Regarding the Welsh winger who will leave the Madrid club at the end of the season, Ancelotti does not exclude that he will say goodbye in the final. This season Bale has only played seven appearances for Real and scored one goal. “He wanted to say goodbye and play if he was okay. Bale has one last chance as he will be fine for the final”said the Madrid boss after his team’s last league game
