Namibia and Burundi split back to back

The next African Cup of Nations will take place in 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire, and the first matches of the qualifying groups take place at the end of the 2021-2022 season. In pool C, while the meeting between Cameroon and Kenya was canceled after the Kenyans were disqualified by CAF, Namibia received Burundi.

At the end of a rather balanced meeting, the Brave Warriors and the Hirondelles separated on a draw after Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, without a club for six months, did not equalize in the last moments for Burundi, thus responding to the opening of the scoring at the start of the match (10th) by the top scorer in the South African championship Peter Shabulile.
