OL are (a little) scared

Olympique Lyonnais dominated AC Ajaccio on Friday evening at the opening of the first day of Ligue 1.

We could almost sum up this kick-off of Ligue 1 with a history of penalties and red cards. After the opener signed Tetê in support with a Lacazette just as subtle as his teammate (1-0, 12e), the latter distinguished himself again in this OL-AC Ajaccio.

Ideally, for his first official game since returning to the Lyon house, the former Arsenal striker doubled the lead from the penalty spot. The new captain of Les Gones took Leroy the wrong way (2-0, 22e).

This great start was to be brutally undermined by the kamikaze exit from Lopes who is definitely struggling to give up his bad habits. The OL goalkeeper hit El Idrissy. Penalty and exclusion inevitable (27e).

Mangani, already an expert in Angers, deceived Lopes and restored strength to the promoted Corsican (2-1, 31e). A hope somewhat thwarted by the second warning received by Hamouma on the ACA side (45e+4).

The second period therefore played 10 against 10, and during which we saw two interesting movements from young Barcola and a tap from Riou, Lopes’ substitute, on an attempt by AC Ajaccio (59e), did not change the fate of the match.

Olympique Lyonnais has achieved what is not so obvious at the start of the season: win at home against a promoted player.
