Olivier Guégan arrives on the bench of Sochaux

The best soups are made in old pots. In search of a coach after the unexpected departure of Omar Daf to Dijon, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, fifth and unhappy play-off against Auxerre this season, has entrusted its destiny to Olivier Guégan.

The 49-year-old former midfielder, who began his coaching career at Stade de Reims before leading Grenoble Foot 38 and Valenciennes FC, has signed up for two seasons (plus one optional). He remains on 7th, 11th and 16th places with Valenciennes, in Ligue 2.
