Football – PSG

In its 52-year history, PSG has seen a number of great talents, including some who have worn the famous number 10 and have been the playmakers of the capital club. A look back at the most outstanding profiles in this position in the history of PSG.
1-Ronaldinho
How to start this ranking without mentioning the legend Ronaldinho ? Passed by the PSG between 2001 and 2003, the Brazilian playmaker had therefore discovered European football in the capital before exploding at the highest level thereafter with the FC Barcelona. In 77 matches in all competitions with the PSG, Ronaldinho scored 25 times and provided 22 assists. A milestone, which perpetuated the beautiful history of Brazilian players within the PSG.
2-Safet Susic
For nine years, Safet Susic wore the jersey PSG whose history he marked by being one of the great architects of the first title of champion of France, in 1986. The story had however started in a strange way with the playmaker, who was 27 years old at the time of his transfer to PSG in the summer of 1982, except at the time, before their 28th birthday, the Yugoslavs were not allowed to play in a foreign club, and susic had therefore been obliged to wait wisely.
3-Rai
Recruited by the PSG in 1993 when he was captain of the Brazilian selection, Ray left its mark on his time at the Parc des Princes. After a very complicated first season, number 10 Auriverde hung on and ended up asserting himself, allowing the PSG to win many titles during his stay (1 European Cup Winners’ Cup, 1 Ligue 1, 2 French Cup, 2 League Cup and 1 Champions Trophy).
4-Neymar
It’s a fact, the story that is currently living Neymar to PSG is made up more of lows than highs. The Brazilian international is struggling to regain his best level since his historic transfer in 2017 (€222m) which made him the most expensive player in the history of the transfer window, and he is often criticized for his lifestyle and his overall performance . However, when he is in full possession of his faculties, Neymar is certainly a player of international class and remains an element capable of leading the PSG at the peaks. Whether it will succeed remains to be seen.

5-Jay-Jay Okocha
Attracted by PSG at the time of Charles Bietry just after the 1998 World Cup in France, Jay-Jay Okocha became the most expensive transfer in Ligue 1 at the time (€17m). A big blow to ensure the succession of Ray as playmaker, and the Nigerian international had also opened the ball in a very good way by scoring an anthology goal against Bordeaux in his first match with the PSG. And Okocha will finally leave at the end of the contract in 2002, leaving his number 10 to a certain Ronaldinho…
Honorable mention for other former number 10s of the PSG : Mustapha Dahleb, Waldo, Nene, Stephane Sessegnon and Javier Pastor who have also, each in their own way and with their own style, been important playmakers of their respective times at the Parc des Princes.
