PSG had to share the honors with OGC Nice, this Wednesday evening at the Parc des Princes (0-0).

For the 1e times this season, PSG have given up points at home in Ligue 1. The capital team was held in check by OGC Nice (0-0), one of the surprise teams in this championship. Against the Aiglons, Pochettino’s men even completed a scoreless match. The consequence of a lack of efficiency shouting at the forefront.

PSG lacked realism

Was it the absence of Neymar that was detrimental to the Parisians? It is tempting to make this deduction following this goalless draw, but the fact is that the vice-champions of France had no difficulty in creating dangerous situations. They simply sinned in the finish, like Kylian Mbappé. The French international has harvested two great opportunities at the forefront. At the 27e minute, he stumbled on Walter Benitez, just like Idrissa Gueye on the same action. And at the 65e, he failed to catch the frame when the goals were wide open for him. The Bondynois was obviously not having a great night.

Mbappé was not, however, the only Parisian player to miss the boat in front. This is also the case with Achraf Hakimi (42e), who lacked precision on a hard shot. And Angel Di Maria, who was less skilful than against ASSE when it was necessary to win a face to face with the opposing goalkeeper (52e).

Nice could have signed the hold-up

The Parisians dominated without scoring, but they also suffered some scares behind. Le Gym was not content to face the assaults of its opponents. When they had the chance, the Aiglons also sought to force the decision. Kasper Dolberg had the clearest opportunity at 59e, which he did not convert, while Andy Delort found Gianluigi Donnarumma (32e) on its trajectory after a recovery of the head.

In view of the lead it has over its pursuers, Paris does not have to be alarmed for the two abandoned points. However, the performance of the day is still not reassuring at a time when the team seeks to have certainties in the game.. For Nice, on the other hand, this point is more than welcome, even if in the standings the Azureans are overtaken by OM. There are not many formations which will manage to hang Paris on its grounds on the national scene.
