The PSG club has just signed a contract with an online betting company from Russia.
At a time when all Western nations and companies are boycotting Russian products or brands, PSG is doing the opposite. Leaving political conflicts aside, the club from the French capital has just signed an agreement with 1XBET, a company of Russian origin even if it claims to be international.
The Parisians were even delighted with this deal on Wednesday. On their official websitethey even highlighted the fact that this group will become the official regional partner in Africa and Asia. Marc Amstrong, head of partnerships at the club, also underlined that “1XBET is an ambitious player in the world of online sports betting and, by collaborating with Paris Saint-Germain, hopes to consolidate its leading position in many countries. . »
So 1Xbet, the super-dubious Russian bookmaker who was kicked out of the UK and can’t operate legally in France, has just signed a partnership deal with @PSG_English? What the hell is going on here? https://t.co/xxQINLPUdV

PSG act as if nothing had happened
In its note, Paris knowingly omitted to specify that 1XBET was banned from operating in several territories in Europe due to its links with Russia. But others have not failed to do so. Thus, the very respectful journalist Philippe Auclair posted a tweet expressing his disgust as soon as the deal was announced. He also recalled that this bookmaker platform was kicked out of the United Kingdom at the start of the war in Ukraine. “So what’s going on with us?” he exclaimed.
Of course, the representatives of the brand do not care at all about all these external criticisms or judgments. Their spokesperson was content to salute the deal made with the champions of France : “Paris Saint-Germain is one of the most popular football clubs in the world. We share a desire to achieve success in all areas and provide fans with a whole new and enriched online betting experience. »
