Author of a new big season with 3 goals and 12 assists in 42 games in all competitions with Barça, Jordi Alba (33) still has a few good seasons ahead of him before hanging up his cleats.
Aware that the Spanish left side is not eternal, the Blaugranas leaders want to find him a double this summer, in order to preserve him physically.
Guerreiro, Reguilon, Alonso…
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Portuguese Raphael Guerreiro (28) is a serious lead, especially since one year from the end of his contract, Borussia Dortmund would be ready to let him go for a sum between 8 and 10 million euros. In addition to the former Lorient, the Catalan daily indicates that Sergio Reguilon (25) is also targeted and that he has the advantage of being represented by the same agent as a certain Philippe Coutinho, recently transferred to Aston Villa for 20 million euros.
Reguilon’s contract, which runs until 2025, could however cool Catalan enthusiasm, while the priority on the left still seems to be Marcos Alonso (28), at the end of his contract in a year at Chelsea. Barça will therefore be spoiled for choice to find the ideal substitute for Jordi Alba, and to strengthen their defense a little more.
In search of a lining to replace Jordi Alba, Barça has two good tracks at the left side position. According to Mundo Deportivo, Raphael Guerreiro and Sergio Reguilon are two possible options for the Blaugrana.
